Digital Rights Management and Microsoft Next-Generation Secure Computing Base

Since 2002 when Microsoft first announced its Trusted Computing initiative it has been transforming and changing.
The main idea has remained the separation of memory and the encryption of files.
but who will it affect the most? will it be the P2P people among us?
i think that the DRM value of the Machiavellian maneuvering is greatest if you make the music on your machine and encrypt it.
i don’t believe that the MP3’s that you make/buy/steal that need to get on an iPOD will be in any way encrypted with the dreaded 2048 bit key. there will have to be a compromise along the way and the tolls will bee week as long as we want to port our music to other small scale tools.
