This is a fun one for me. I have managed to install our portal product on ubuntu with an Oracle XE database. It is all working well and I am going to play a bit with the site design and some JSR portlets…
This is NOT a supported platform and I am not sure how well will it perform under pressure but it is a nice alternative to the standard RedHat Enterprise Server and oracle 10g.
I just miss the ability to create more than one DB in the schema. I would have tried installing our Content Management services also…
May be I can do that on MySQL???? neaaaaaahhhhhhh…. never mind….
