Kalyway OS X86 T61 Lenovo

by yuval on 24/04/2008

I have successfully (if you consoder no sound and networking and -x as a success) installed Leopard on my Lenovo T61.
It has No network and no sound since this is a cheap version of the T61.
But it does allow me to test the OS and the applications and decide what computer am i going to get. or if i am going to leave microsoft to OSX or the riveling linux.
For now i got iLife, Office 2008,photoshop, iWorks and toast on it. this will be a starting point untill i will get intellij and other editing tools set up.
But it looks nice and is very clear. set up a bit better then windows and a lot smoother.
The install took about a day and was full with surprises like a deletion of the MBR and so on.
Kalyway have produced a good product and i hope the production line countinues also into drivers for intel network adapters and SoundMax sound cards.

iWork worked ok on the lenovo and the 2004 version of office.
I have not tried the 2008 version but i assume it will work the same.
On what machine did you put your OS X on?
